Lorie and Travis {Stephenville Wedding Photographer}
September 7, 2010It has been a long time since I have logged in to write a blog post, I almost forgot how. I did however promise Lorie a sneak peek, and here it is! It was hard to decide what to show here as I had many favourites from this day. I have known Travis’ family for a long time (his big sis is a good friend of mine, his dad my highschool teacher, and Travis a friend of my brother), so it was very enjoyable to photograph this wedding.
Lorie and Travis had a beautiful day. Lorie was gorgeous in her oyster dress – a new favourite for me. They were even willing to head out to the old runways in town to try out a location that I have been wanting to try for a while. I am sure they thought I was crazy at the time, and even crazier when I locked my keys in the trunk of my father’s car….. but the results were fabulous.
And to any of Travis and Lorie’s friends who may be viewing this sneak peek in say Yellowknife, who may be getting married in say 2010…. I would love to have a reason to travel up there and se my baby brother and nephew.
Angela and Kris {Port aux Basques Wedding Photographer}
October 1, 2009Angela and Kris were wed on a glorious day in August. The last of my August weddings before crossing over the gulf for our annual summer vacation in New Brunswick. I have had the pleasure of travelling to Port aux Basques a number of times the last few years, and every time I go I discover a new part of it that I love. Grand Bay beach provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photos, and the lighting on this evening was just right.
I always love photographing the children who participate in weddings, however when I caught a glimpse of these three girls playing in the ocean while I was photographing the bride and groom, I instantly turned my attention to them for a few moments, knowing right away that I would capture an image that I would love for a long long time.

Expecting {Western Newfoundland Maternity Photography}
September 4, 2009It is so hard to belive that summer is almost over. We had a fabulous vacation, despite coming to find Tropical Storm Danny left some water in our basement. It actually wasn’t too bad. we just have to remove some carpet that really shouls have been removed long ago. Back now and am in full editing mode to catch up on all the weddings and sessions that took place in August.
These are a few photos from a maternity session that I had earlier this summer. Baby has since arrived and I will be meeting the little bundle next weekend for a newborn session. I haven’t had a maternity session for quite while now, but they are among my favourite.

Karen and Eric II {Western Newfoundland Wedding Photographer}
August 12, 2009
It has been really busy here this week, and I took a couple of nights off to visit my parents at their summer home in Greenspond. Now to catch up on everything before my holidays….. As promised Karen, here are a few more photos from your wedding day. I love incorporating every aspect of the wedding day into the photographs of that day, and if that means rain, then we use umbrellas. I like to sometimes play with the vintage look and textures, and although I don’t do it very often, I love the result when I do. And as well, a few from our trip to the local pool hall in Port Aux Basques where we also went for a little session out of the rainy weather.
